Hey, Akanksha here!

I’m from Kolkata and I’m currently doing a diploma in MBA. When I enrolled in this diploma course, I did not know what digital marketing actually was. I did a bachelor’s in communication during my undergrad days and took up an MBA because I liked advertising.

During the course, I realised that digital marketing got me the interest than traditional marketing. I found the ads very interesting on social media and wanted to learn more about the techniques used behind these ads.

That’s when my friend suggested to me the MyCaptain’s Digital Marketing Pro Course.

Introduction to MyCaptain.

As my graduation was nearing, I was looking for a job as well. But I didn’t want to be a part of a 9-5 job. I’m an analytical person who loves to do something that blended creativity. But I didn’t know in which field to search for the right job. 

I knew about MyCaptain before. But when I saw what they offered, I knew it was worth a try. 

After reading about MyCaptain’s 100% job/freelance assistance and the in-dept course structure, I went for it!

How my expectations were met.

At first, I was not sure what I was good at, but during the course; I got to explore more about Facebook and Instagram ads which hooked me to the course. There were projects and case studies that helped me understand the aspects of digital marketing. 

To add to that, the course content and the entire experience were immaculate. After the course, they gave us placement training, and we had to attend mock tests that helped us prepare for the interviews. And you know what, I received my first job offer on the very first try! 

I got placed in performance marketing at a company called Cupshup and now I cannot wait to see how my professional journey would unfold for me!

The best part of the course.

I would again say my favourite topics were working on the Facebook and Instagram ads. I was also amazed by how the digital marketing tools worked. Facebook ad tools were my favourite among them.  

My mentors, who knew every nook and corner of the digital marketing world, were the best! They taught us and helped with the projects exceptionally well. 

I would recommend this course to a friend of mine who’s appearing for her CAT exams. This course would help her get an insight into the practical world of Digital Marketing.

I would like to thank the entire team of MyCaptain, who not only gave me a real-life experience in the field of digital marketing but also helped me gain my confidence. Before taking up this course, I was clueless about what to do or where to start. Now I have reached a point where I can confidently present my portfolio in interviews.

My advice to future mentees is that never approach this course for the sake of completing it. Have a clear mindset and never miss out on your projects or live classes. In the end, it’s all worth it!
